This is kinda weird. I bought all my Syringes from Spores101.Com. Im a newbie and this is my second batch of jars. My first batch was Golden Teachers and Cambodians. They took around 3 weeks to be 100% Colonized. This is my 2nd batch of jars of Puerto Ricans and they are already like 75% - 80% Colonized in only 6-7 days! My temps has been around 70 ( at night ) to 85 degrees in the morning. I never thought they can colonize this fast... Here are some pics below of my 100% Colonized GTS thats been around 25 days and my 7 day Puerto Ricans 75% Colonized already!!! LOL.. I heard that Puerto Ricans are hard to grow for newbies, so i hope they are as easy to fruit as they were to colonize. Im planning to keep them as cakes when i fruit them because i read that PRS tend to overlay in casings. The next 3 pics are my GTS.. If you see the bottom , its not all white and doesnt look 100% colonized but they ARE... I put 1 teaspoon of straight verm on the bottom so thats why its not all white.

Nice..
My Puerto Rican jars have been incubating for 10 days now, and show no signs of anything. Not even any contams.. lol
My syringe was almost a year old, and was not stored in the best of conditions, so I'm thinking they were bad.. but it kinda goes against conventional wisdom, aren't spores by nature supposed to be viable for a long time?
Oh well. Guess I'll purchase another, and make sure to use it fresh. I'm going to give them few days, though. I'd imagine that after 2 weeks.. it's a lost cause.

No I am not, I see web.Hyphae take a close look at the myc in the pr jars and the gt's. The pr's have the typical very light see threw myc that starts with web and spreads really fast. Please keep us informed I'd like to know if my eye's are getting that bad..(could be)

Puerto Ricans are some of the most agressive I have ever seen, they put out hundreds of pins and many of those may not mature... I cant find the pis that were sent to me or I would post as few pics of of 40+ pins growing on another pin... this was resultant in hight (97%) himidity... to get a geed flush casing is almost mandatory

Yea Magash, i will definetly update with more Photos in a few days.
Prisoner#1, im planning to dunk them right after birth before i put them in fruiting.
I read that gives more better pinning.
THANKS

know someone doing pf jars with PR strain from spores101 too. Its been a week and a half and they are about 75% done. Temps have been 84 constantly. They have like these little arms that are stretching out all over the damn place. Looks like plant roots but fugus like. Is that cobweb?

Tip: with real aggressive strains it is necessary to initiate pinning/fruiting sooner for optimum pinsets. Sooner as in as soon as any myc is seen poking thru or sooner. GL PR's can be a tricky one sometimes Now I'm talkin casings BTW

Magash: are you sure? that doesnt look like cobweb to me... it looks perfectly fine.
its pretty ironic, my current grow i did PR's and cambodians, the cambodians colonized great, but the PRs never even started.

I wouldn't normaly disagree with Magash but I don't think that you have cobweb going on there. But if you do, your jars will be fully colinized by tommorow. Cobweb can fill an entire jar in 36 hours. So you will know for sure.

Sheesh MAgash..... OK You must be getting a better pic then me because I can't see the difference between the red area and the green??
You are correct in the fact cobweb mold is thinner and myc is thick and meaty. We will all know tommorow
