What the hell am I talking about, theres no way in friggin hell theyre russlas. The cap is not a dull bland red, it a bright beautiful one, and there are plenty of veil remnants on todays freshies, and the gills are not obnoxiously white. I know these are Nita. Keep arguin though.

yeah, I thought russula too until I looked at the second pic blown up and saw what appears to be universal veil remnants on the cap... If you want to actually have them ID'd we'll need (clear! ) pics, of the base of the stem in particular. Does it have an annulus(ring of tissue around the stem near the top)? I can't tell. DH

Ok smart people. I never once asked for ID, I merely put some pictures of the fungus I found on this thing. I know we all wanna toot our mushroom horns, and Im sorry for sounding like a dick in my previous posts. Are there rules against shitty cameras?
This is Amanita, Ill post more pics when I can upload, and will eventually buy a better camera.
I will trade weilii spore prints for a camera. ha.

no, you didn't ask for an ID but you posted pics of something that may not be what you labeled it as, and since I'm not the only one that thought that, I'd say there's a good chance that you are mistaken... We like to see things identified correctly here, for obvious reasons. If people think something isn't and have good explanations, it's better they say so than just take your word for it, even though it sounds like you'll just disregard everyones concerns and questions anyway . There's really no horn-tooting involved, just trying to help you, sorry, but that's what we (try to) do . DH

I read the critiques, and havent been able to decifer them, I understand i come off as a smart ass, but I too know my amanita.
The veil remnants are there, the color is there, the location is correct, and Ive picked Formosa for years. While these are not Formosa, I do believe them to be relative.
Now the picture criticism I understand, and have apologized for. When i can upload some more, I will.
I jusr dont see where you guys are coming from, what is missing to make this muscaria?!?!
