Have you come across any literature in your research suggesting that some of the hygrocybes are active/poisonous? Wallace

Never heard of a Hygrocybe being active.
They are indeed poisonous.
Why do you ask?

Saw Japanese guidebook saying that psilocybin has been isolated in psittacina. H. conica has been reported as poisonous by some, edible by some, and bruises black. For conica, Japanese guide says both g.intestinal upset and intoxication/psychological disturbance.
