so i have a date sunday night. havent had one in a few years
    #3059833 - 08/27/04 10:40 PM (12 years, 8 months ago)

so yeah i was supposed to take this girl i met at work out to a tight house party tonight, but the owner of the house got poppped with some pills and it didnt happen.
so i called her up ill call her B and told her it wasnt going down, and that i felt bad and asked if i could take her out another night. so we decided to go out on sunday night.

the thing is that i havent been on a date in like 2 years, and im 20.
the thing is when i was 17 my rents shipped out to mexico for rehab against my will and i missed alot of growing up in the real world.

so back to the real question here, what should i go and do on this date? i would hate to do somthing wrong, i really just want to take her out and have a good time any sugestions? im just so horribly inept with well, women in general.

thanks

any place you can have fun, and be yourself.

a date is LESS abot where you go, and more about HOW you shine while on it.

shine on you crazy diamond.  A girl worth falling for will fqall for you as just you, no matter where you are..

places to AVOID:  the town dump, ghetto neighborhoods wher eyou can die.

scary places.

etc..

a weird thing about me and women.
this happens very rarely actually it has only happened 3 times. but sometimes when i meet someone for the first time i will know that somthing will happen between us. some sort of mutual understanding. i cant describe it, its the weirdest thing.
but everytime i have seen that look in their eyes, and had that feeling i know, somthing is going to happen. and it always has

btw i have never had a serious relationship with anyone just fyi

If you want to take her out and have a good time.
Then take her out and have a good time.

Start off at stylish coffee shope somewhere and get some tea. Coffee makes your breath stink and is generally not good for kissing. Have interesting conversation. Talk about stupid things like celebrities and don't be afraid to tease her a bit with some humor. Just don't talk about religion, politics, drugs (at least not until you find out if she is cool with them). Just be sure to have fun and laugh.

Then go to fun quirky little shops. You have to have an interesting part of town with weird things in it. Basically you just go in and the conversation is built in with the things inside. Lingerie shops, toy stores, etc. Its free and it puts the date in a fun mood.

Another good rule to follow is never spend more than $40 on a date. 0 is preferable.

take her someplace you want to go, but avoid taking her to a place whose interest is too specialized. Meet her halfway, but dont compromise your personality in doing so.

If the date goes well, ask her to your place for a smoke or a drink or a movie or some non-sexual reason. If she's says yes, you should take that as a green light to first base... at least.

Dont come on too strong, test the waters gradually. If she starts to feel uncomfortable at any time, stop what you are doing and take it up on the next date. Patience and careful observation are key.

lastly, be yourself, but try to get a feel for what she wants, and if its in your capacity to give her that, do so if you really want to. Dont bend over backwards for her on the first date though, its a sign of weakness and will generally hurt more than it helps.

be confident in yourself with or without her approval, have fun, and good luck!
