Anti-drug commercials are HILARIOUS! I like the ones where they show kids with an attitude saying no to drugs. They're trying to say "look, these people have an identity of their own, and their also well respected, you could do this without giving in to the pressures of drug use!".

The commercials I HATE are the hidden commercials I see in TV and movies. I mean, movies or TV shows that show a person taking drugs , and NOT have something fucked up happen because of it are few and far between.

yesterday i sent an anonymous post to D.A.R.E. concerning the misinformation they *deal* and how they would actually SAVE lives by stopping their fucking lies. Unfortunately, I'm only a single person and i hardly believe they would ever change their policies for any reason, even if I had an army behind me. fuck em

i would be down for it. I think i just might send them a letter today. I'm getting pretty tired though...maybe tomorrow. If not I'm sure the next time I see an anti-drug ad I will rememer to do so. Man do those things make me mad. I just can't stand propaganda, in any form. The worst ones are the Truth ad's because they have the nerve to label their opinion/agenda as truth.

Excessive use of technology will eventually enslave mankind.

I think the truth adds should be changed to "THE TRUTH ABOUT DUMBFUCKS WHO THOUGHT INHALING SMOKE WAS GOOD FOR THEM"..i don't even smoke and think them adds are bullshit

From what i've experience, those that are the most "in-your-face" about these adds are the former smokers..correct me if i'm wrong..it's an assumption

Hehehe... everytime i pack my ciggerettes i feel like that monkey in the commercial thats packin smokes. I love that commercial just cause of the monkey who can pack ciggereetes, I think It made me want to smoke... or at least get a monkey to chill with so he can pack my cigs for me.

i HATE THE TRUTH ADS .. they don't even explain the truth clearly ..like this tv ad = " (punk kid) a friend wrote us a letter, is says : i can't belive that there blaming cigarette companys for people use of there product, people have the right to say no, if they choose so!: (the punk kid says) .. : guess what (girl "i don't remember her name"), most of the big time tobacco smokers started when there teens" .. DAMMIT THAT DIDN'T EVEN ANSWER HER QUESTION. These people are nuts, you can't blame the people who want to make a profit of something that is legal!

By the way if you have no idea what i just said, you kinda have to have seen the commerical!

Yeah, movies and tv shows have "hidden" commercials in them, that put down weed and other softer drugs. Almost all the time, they show the negative effects of the drug, and it's usually a worst-case scenario. Can't these shows ever show pot being used for good? The only show's I can think of where marijuana isn't frowned upon is "That 70's Show" (the teens always smoke up for fun) and the West Wing (lots of pro-legalization stuff). Then there's movies... The only "serious" movies I can think of that speak the truth are "Blow" and "Traffic". I hope this trend continues...

I think the funniest anti-smoking commercial is where that old lady takes a drag out of her neck! I fall over laughing everytime. she says something like "the tobbaco industry did everything they could to keep me smoking" If she was stupid enough to not quit after they drill a hole in her throat, its her fault. Don't blame it on some faceless executive. If you're that weak of a person in the first place, You'd end up dead because of something else!

Mycelial ninja, eh? I'm in for that. Shit, i'll bet that beats tai-chi! Here in england (you should never give your country a capital letter cos they're bollocks) we don't get anti drugs commercials. We used to get this one with this kid who falls off a wall cos he thinks he can fly (yawn) but we dont get any at the moment. I think america is subject to more aggresive media mind wash because it happens to be the leading system of control at present. america says "jump" and we say " how high?", appart from afghanistan. I cant even whatch TV over here. If i lived in the states i would be doing double the amount of drugs just cope with the fact i shared my nationality with Ricky fucking Lake. I imagine myself sitting in the last seat, and toking it, laughing at the little bitches who thought it was cool to pierce an "outtie". The truth ad's are the worst. What ever happened to the classic "this is your brain on drugs"? And what about athletes who "juiced"? They won, they use drugs. I want to see some fucking anti-alcohol ads.

Has anyone seen that one where there's the husband sitting on his couch smoking hash or heroin on some aluminum foil? Now that's fucking funny.. He sits there and sucks up the smoke through a straw then pukes and twitches on the floor for a while. Hilarious.. I love that commercial.
