Well the problem is I need to be semi secretive about growing these so the only place I can put the terrarium is in a trunk that's 9" tall. So it really can't be any bigger then that. Does anyone know if my shrooms will be severely stunted by this small terrarium, I can allways make up the volum in extra width and length if need be, but the height can't be over 9". Do you think that would help?

why dont ya just break up your cakes and case the whole terrarium! much ez-er ... leave the perilite on the bottom... put down a layer of crushed cakes, sprinkle some verm till all white is covered and mist to moisten...basicly takes care of itself till you see growth ... then fan like a mad man/woman peace and good luck
