Ryche Hawk substrate opinions and question
    #3058097 - 08/27/04 02:36 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

Hello. I haven't grown in a couple years but decided I wanted to come back, try casing, new substrates, new strains, etc. Anyway, I haven't been able to find a lot of opinions on the 'Hawk Magic' substrate tek: Finch seed, flax seed meal, BRF and vermiculite. I've got all this stuff so I'm definitely going to try a couple dozen jars with it atleast. However, I couldn't find the recommended Pennington's brand of finch seed anywhere. Instead I have something called 'Super Finch Feed' which has several different kinds of seeds in it but no large seeds. Considering the seeds are small in size, will these work okay? Guizotia, abyssinica, millet, canary and sunflower chips. Opinions?
