did i make my poppy tea right?

i took about 2 ounces fresh poppy foiliage and blended it in 3 cups hot water in the blender, boiled it for like 10 mins, the tea turned dark brown, i straind it through a t-shirt to get the garbage out, then i slammed it. i felt it pretty good, real relaxed and had that it would really suck to stand up right now feeling, and i slept for like 13 hours, it was cool, but could i have used my leaves better? :confused:

yes, except most of the opiate content of the plant resides in the stem and the pods.

Well, there are opiates in the leaves too. They are just in lower concentration. You CAN get off on the leaves but it takes a significantly larger amount. I know of people who make salads out of the leaves to get off.

i know 2 ounces of fresh leaves will make you relax, next year im gonna make tea with pods though.
