I like to stream the broadcasts when I'm waking up in the morning...it's a different perspective than Rush or local talk radio (I'm in San Diego).
What do you guys think of this? It has some major funding and celebrity backing...and is adding new sponsors and AM stations monthly.

Shying away from people with different views than yourself is a very good way to learn.

And how about educating us 'right-wingers'*? Or is that beneath you.
*Funny you keep calling libertarians that...we're all significantly to the left of your presidential candidate on most social issues.

Air America is the liberal radio network that was set up to try to counter a right wing dominance of radio. They had some financial problems a while back but they are up and running in a few markets, NYC being one of them. I listen sometimes. They have Al Franken and Randy Rhodes, who I had never heard of before. It can be pretty funny. This morning they had an anarchist on talking about the coming convention and protest and I couldn't help thinking how much their ideologies were totally at odds, but the libs didn't seem to know it. They asked the anarchist what an anarchist believed and when he told them you could almost hear the indrawn breath. At least he hates Bush, right? They also had some "analyst" talking about the situation in Iraq who said that al-Sadr was "protecting" the mosque he was holed up in. I laughed so hard at that I almost had to pull over.

I, on the other hand, had a good idea that you were unable to think outside of the artificial left-right liberal-conservative spectrum. The least bad way to put libertarians on that terrible and confining system is to say they are extremely liberal on *most* social issues and extremely conservative on almost all fiscal issues. The best way to think about libertarians though is to realize that they believe in the right of an individual to do whatever he wants so long as he does not initiate force against another. Apply that across the political spectrum and you can figure out almost every libertarian position. Simply put, libertarians believe in their namesake: liberty.
