I tried smoking some before that I grew myself, but I could discern no effects. According to what I've read, it is traditionally smoked in combination with a very strong tobacco (not like any you can normally buy in a store), and serves to mellow out the effects. It's a nice plant to grow and can be used as a spice (it's also called Mexican Tarragon), the fresh leaves (well the dried leaves too, but not as strong) have a wonderful odor similar to licorice. I've promised myself that one of these days I will grow it again and attempt to make an extract to see if I can get some effects from that.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

well then for the love of god get high!

what is a "strong tobacoo"? does this mean it is used in combo with nicotine? and its more of that that is needed?

i really dont like marigolds, but i love herbs and such. wondering whether it would eb worth it to make a small planter with it. does it at least taste good?

no one else have anny effects?

thanks.

Strong tobacco would be likely Nicotiana rustica which was very popularly used ceremonally. tobaccum and several native species (do not recall the epitath) were used for ceremonial purposes as well.. but tobacco on its own is extremely psychoactive and was considered to be even more powerful than peyote.

Jon ott mentions Tagetes erecta (common marigold) to be psychoactive when a tea is brewed from the flowers (i think 7 pairs of flowers) .. I recall a shroomerite mentioning trying this and not succumbing to the effects however I feel it would be extremely easy for one to confuse Pot marigold with true marigold. A lot of the ornemental marigold that you will find in peoples lawns and gardens is Pot Marigold so be sure not to confuse these.
