I'm not sure this thread really belongs here, since this problem doesn't really bother me all that much, but for some reason, something about my personality tends to creep out a lot of people. It's not everyone--just certain types of people, which is why I say it doesn't really bother me all that much. I've always known I was kind of wierd, but even when I act quiet and normal, I seem to give off some sort of vibe that makes certain people nervous or uncomfortable. Sometimes I think I just have a lack of social skills, but that's not true with the majority of people I meet. Now, I'm not about to change who I am for anyone, but for a long time I've questioned just what it is about me that has this effect on people. I guess you guys would have to know me in real life to understand what I'm talking about, so I can't really expect any advice from the people here, but I just felt like venting. Any similar experiences?

Usually preppy types, which is why I'm not really worried about it. But then again, I sometimes wonder how many other people are creeped out by me but hide it better.

I didn't agree with you on the whole relationship being selfish thing. Other than that you seem pretty cool to me. You never can tell though, people can be absolutely different in RL.
If it isn't a problem for you, then why even care to think about it?
Wasting time on what others think, especially the unimportant others, is really a waste of precious time and energy.

I have been told that I give off a weird vibe before. As far as I know it's true. I sort of like it though.
I don't know you in real life, but you seem pretty cool to me. Particularly if you're strange, because I just get along better with weirdo's like me.

That's the thing--I don't really consider anyone unimportant. I mean, they can think what they want of me, but it's a confusing pattern for me. Those who have actually brought it up with me can't really seem to put their finger on what exactly it is about me that has this effect on people. They obviously don't just do it to be mean. It would just be nice if I could figure out what it is.

Well.. I do find you imitating the hello.jpg image rather disturbing.

I remember back when I was 18 years old, my parents kicked me out. I had to sleep on a friends couch for three months until I could hustle enough change to get an apartment in the ghetto.
At the time, I was definitely a 'wierdo'. I wore a long black coat, had long black hair with strands of purple and blue in it. I always walked around the ghetto flipping my butterfly knife. I always wore black, with spikes and chains.
That nieghborhood was really rough, and for a naive little rich boy like myself, very dangerous. But no one ever fucked with me. Looking back, I now realize they were probably just as scared of me as I was of them. 'Creeping people out' was probably what kept me from getting robbed and beaten.
So anyway, thats my advice: use it to your dvantage. Take something negative and make it work for you.

Hmmmmm.........maybe it's because you are deeper than most people and it scares them. I think I used to give off that vibe until I became more normal. They sense that you are engaged in something that they'd rather not think about. That's my guess.

Everyone creeps out some one, i myself oftern get the creeps from religous and straight people. And i'm sure I oftern creep out some people, key is to just carry on being you, and you will gravitate towards people who are the right people to call friends.

Yeah, I have that too. I put it down to those particular people just being on to much of a programmed mindset. I.E Things that don't fit the norm arn't acceptable to them.
When you say things that are in you mind that are a bit of the wall it will freak some people out everyone responds differently. Most people like something different.
