I got these in Telluride during the mushroom festival. I am almost positive they are scaly tooth mushrooms, but would like your help to verify. I will cook them up for dinner if they really are.

No doubt, eh? THey feel really cool to touch too. Beautiful! The wonder of mushrooms..........
I found some really cool pink crowns too, but camera ran out of batteries by that time. Totally trippy. They looked like hatched dinosaur eggs or something. And these toothed jelly mushrooms that were clear! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH I LOVE FUNGUS!

Those are definitely Sarcodon imbricatum. In the right areas they are pretty common. They will grow in fairy rings.
Didn't you bring them in for Linnea or one of the others to identify? I thought that was one of the reasons she went down there each year.
Happy mushrooming!

Actually I found this the day after the festival ended. But I got a ton of other ones identified. I learned so much! Did you go to the festival?

Nope... it's a bit pricey for me. Instead I was hunting with Tom Volk.
Happy mushrooming!
