Kerry Meets Stewart
    #3046324 - 08/24/04 11:35 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

Ole JFK must know who his target audience is. He appeared on the Daily Show with John Stewart tonight, Tuesday. John asked him about the "tough" issues, but they laughed off his lies about where he was in Cambodia, or whether he was even there. True liberals don't care about the truth, he wasn't Bush, so he should win. Sad.

Did you really expect Jon Stewart to grill him? Great episode regardless.

Stewart: I just want to run down some of the talking points the 24 hour news networks have been working off and you respond to them. Are you the most liberal Senator in the Senate?
Kerry: No--
Stewart: --more liberal even than Karl Marx!!??

Good stuff.

Yea, it was funny.

Stewart: "I've been watching the major cable news channels recently and, uh, apparently you weren't in Vietnam" Hahaha, chuckles ensue from Botox John

Yeah, well at least you don't have to sign away your soul to attend a democratic function,eh?
At least he is attempting to reach many disenfrachised citizens
Was he in cambodia? No matter I know Bush avoided the region like a plague.
Did he earn his purple hearts? Well I know they gave a lot of them out.The only cousin I had survive out of six who went had six and one was for a peice of shrapnel the size of pencil lead in his ass. So if Kerry has one like that so what,He was there and the Chicken hawks were not.
Characteristics of Bush followers;
1) Scared shitless over the bed america has made in the rest of the world
2)willing to sacrifice the basic constitution to protect their sorry ass-ets
3)Warlike but have not ever fought in one(mostly)
4)routinely mistake Bush for "conservative"
5) Believe the fairy tales about the motivation for war.

I am an independent thinker and I am voting the lesser of evils and that is JFK.

WR:wexican:
PS John Stewart has more balls and asks more pertinant questions than 99% of the 0VVN3D news(IMO)

Jon Stewart is funny. It's not real news though.

The only "real" news is what you see with your own eyes everything else is opinion or gossip.

but they laughed off his lies

Yeah! I thought it was kinda strange that people would be laughing on The Daily Show, too! AND ON THE COMEDY NETWORK OF ALL PLACES!!!

What is this world coming to?

I trust the Daily show more than any other news source covering political issues. They do their research and show all they find. They rip on Kerry too.

plus i like how they joke about and are open with the fact that theyre very slanted and biased as opposed to certain 'fair and balanced' cable news networks.

Do you like how that horrific network run by Klansmen NeoCons is owned by *gasp* the same network that owns Comedy Central? I wonder why these EvilNeoCons are allowing this.

The ad dollars that two Emmys bring in.They disregard the target audience of the show politicaly and focus soley on generating dollars thru advertizement to them.
Pretty slick but I believe they discount the demographic and it will bite back.

*gasp* the name of the station is Comedy Central...

It's funny to see someone trying to pin it up as a "serious" channel which could ever hope to provide news...especially "fair and balanced" news.

I think the point you're missing here is that shows like The Daily Show, while biased, doesn't pretend to be "real news". IT'S A COMEDY SHOW!

You can put a Mr.Potato head in the chair behind the desk in the Oval Office and there would STILL be no difference. But if they could get Kerry in there instead to replace Bush, that would be better.
