The meaning of Mycelium "Puffs"?

I started some cakes in the last few days. One Ecuadorian cake that i have has developed what is best described as mycelium puffs, where the almost mycelium resembles mold. I have seen this on friends projects in the past, but this being my first experience, I want to know what this indicates (something to do with humidity I imagine). Thanks for any help.

(something to do with humidity I imagine). yes high humidity you will be fine

If it looks like mold.........
....... it may be mold.
Or it could be a result of too high humidity, as others have already said.
Note: high humidity also favors cobweb mold

i never thought myc looked like "mold", but if you think its bacillus, that would be an issue(but then bacillus is bacteria). a pic would help.
