They were found in Derbyshire, after a day of non-stop rain.

Lib caps have been  growing for quite some time! plenty of old looking shrooms.

Temperature, humidity, rain and are all important factors. Temperature has been low enough for high altitude locations

I have checked all the fields near me - nothing, but get up into the peaks and they are well up, i found loads of fresh brown libs last month. The peaks are my favourite place for shrooms and what a great views too. I am going on a long walk (12 miles) soon to check a large area, most of the walk goes over farm land so i hope to find some new fields. The best field I know is right next to the road and also known to lots of other people who don't respect it and pick it to death- I always leave the little baby ones alone but I know plenty of people who will pick everything.

Nice find, Keep up the good work

Thats the problem, i live too far away from any peaks.......you lucky mountain dwellers............I here that in ireland they grow nearly all year round, but i aint interested in libs this year, i am after the gold, fly-agaric.............i dont know any spots but have some ideas too check........if you have any further info in the yorkshire area PM me.(any finds, etc) So this year i am going to bypass 10000`s of libs on purpose, in pursuit of my fave, fly-agaric. In the season time is preciouss, use it wisely, for the UK we have another year to wait.............

I know man, i know, i thought that is what people would think..............but i have too, i have to travel for a couple of days, on bike, past loads of fields to get to the fly-agarics, so i wont have time to collect them all and bring them all back, i dont care, i have a good number of local fields when i ever want any, it does seem like a waste though............

Still waiting for them to pop up. Although I'm in northern Europe daytime temperatures are still around 17-18 C and too little rain. I wish I had some high altitude in my neighbourhood...

Nice pics!
