Can you make tea like you normally do from fresh shrooms but after they have been dried mushrooms?

dried shrooms make great tea!  best to use powdered.  then steep in hot water.  i like to use kool aid instead of tea though.

yo kool-aid!

I have had bad luck using freshies for tea. I think it is much better when using dry ones. All I ever make is tea, eating them always makes me sick, REALLY sick. Tripping hard in the bathroom is not fun if you ask me so I have perfected my tea recipe, and it always calls for dry mushrooms...

I think so much more is wasted when they are fresh...

so what is your recipe? i haven't perfected mine yet...i just think the most important is to use thorougly ground mushrooms and let them steep and cool for a whille.

I use my mortar and pestle to grind the dry shrooms up before making tea. I don't have a coffee grinder, but do plan on getting one. Below is a thread where I posted some tips:

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...ev=#Post1892300

Ignore the part where I said freshie tea is my favorite form of ingestion. I have since changed my mind on that subject (it works but not as well IMO). I have made several posts about my tea methods, I believe some of the others may have additional information. I have even boiled the shrooms for an extended period of time and it still came out good. I think heat destroying the actives is over-exaggerated. Using warm or hot water is essential IME, and a bit of acidity in the water helps as well. I usually use a tablespoon of OJ in each extraction...

Search my past posts and you should be able to find many of my methods.

Here is another that has a number of good tips:

One of these days I may get around to making a real recipe. But everyone has different tastes...

hey, afoaf told me that the tea was more potent than just eating dry because eating doesnt break down all the psilocybin. it doesn't sound realistic to me, but he said that the tea is somewhat more potent than dried because of this. anyone else heard this? I think its bogus.
