Well, as I sat and thoguht about how dull my life was, I figured a thought that could liven it up. What are the hobbies of thy fellow shroomerites?
One of the main things I do regularly is play frisbee golf. It's just something that I find extremely entertaining.

frisbee golf? that's not a hobby, thats an embarassment.
i find photography is a good hobby, gets you out of the house and seeing things in a whole new perspective.

My all-time favorite hobbie, which I will be turning into a profession, is working on my car! Mechanics and shit, I love it. That's when I'm happiest.

DRUM CIRCLES! DOUBLE BASS! TRAVEL! Gotta make music and draw pictures for sanity balance. Also I indulge in psychedelics for mental clarification!
And free love is another favorite hobby of mine....
-------------------- A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

I tend to have very expensive hobbies, which is a shame, because I can't really afford them at the moment. Playing guitar and keyboards - I always want new gear, new toys... I always dream about having an awesome music room full of guitars and synths and amps and all this cool crap that I'll hardly ever touch. SCUBA diving - buying equipment is mega-costly, but so is renting it. I love the sea and being in the water. You get to see a part of the world as few other people get to see it, and its about as beautiful as anything else in this universe. Aquariums - I keep cichlids. I love them. I'm always surprised by how much character and intelligence they have. But I always wanna upgrade the tanks, get new tanks. You gotta buy food and chemicals and new fish... Drugs - well, we all know about that one...

Cichlids are great. I've kept them for years, although I only have 1 large south american currently -- a Jack Dempsey. What species do you keep, how many tanks do you have?

ART! MUSIC! Looking up at the sky! um.... acting! And reading, can't forget reading.
Of course a dabble every now and then into the realm of psychedelia is always fun.

Jack Dempseys are really nice looking fish. I wanted some of those, or oscars, for my 5ft tank but ended up going with discus so I could have a planted tank with some schools of little fish in there. I used to have 3 discus but recently two of them paired off and it appears that they killed the third one. (twos company I guess.)
I also have a 3ft tank with a mix of Malawi cichlids. I'm getting a small nursey tank on the weekend because the Malawis have been breeding but the babies always die.

Discus are beautiful. I haven't tried to keep any yet due to their moderate expense and the fact that I'd have to put a lot more time and care into taking care of them. The big south americans are super hardy and don't require much maintainance. I have a 29 gallon for my Jack Dempsey and a pleco, and I have a 55 gallon which hasn't been used in over a year. It needs to be cleaned out thoroughly and I am too lazy. Once that is done I have no idea what I'll put in it.

How bigs ur dempsey? They are awesome fish. I got ahold of some Blue dempseys awile back that were really cool. i think a huge tank full of apistogramma would rock. 10 pair having theyre own territory in 1 tank! that would be a sight. Someday when i get a bigger place.
