I really am upset with myself because I will never make a good cultivator if I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing. I killed ten of my Loph's (peyote) before a got a couple to grow. I have patience!

firstaid, EVERYBODY makes mistakes, I still do, just learn from them, you'll get it right. don't worry, I'll bet you'll turn into one of the best damn cultivators around here...I've known people who have started businesses only to go bankrupt several times, they kept trying and today are one of the biggest around, why? because they made all the mistakes first then learned from them, you'll do the same, keep yer head up your going to do good bro....

I'm honored to be a part of any help! The end result was a super packed tight substrate that had all the water sucked out of it. I almost could'nt scrape out the brown rice!

i've recently made some BRF substrate just to get a feel for what is good. After a week of just sittin there they did not contaminate. So, i thought good experiment. But, when i tryed to clean them the substrate stuk to the jars. Is this bad? the substrate felt nice and damp tho.
So my question is this... does the substrate feel and look dryish? I ask this becasuse yr sopposed to crumble it for casing.

well I let it colonize first for about say 3 weeks are so then take them out put in a big zip lock bag then crumble them up through the bag then dump out on the casings, never had a problem with this.
