casing after first flush?
    #3036727 - 08/22/04 06:07 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

What do you guys think?
I just finished my first flush of PF tek brf/verm cakes. The problem is my humidifier has broken, and I have some what of a hectic schedule over the next two weeks, so its a bitch that I gotta fan and mist now. Should I dunk, then crumble and case the cakes? I wouldnt have to mist as much, and plus I think it would give me a pretty good yield, in addition to less upkeep. What do you think, case or leave as is and dunk and roll for 2nd flush?

Casing shold be fine at this point, although if you really want to leave them as cakes you could use perlite..mucho mucho humidity.

I'd say go for the casing...it would be good practice for the next time and if you have a successful batch you will be sold on casings forever, guaranteed   Plus you have got your first flush to fall back on, so hopefully you've got enough goods to get you through to your next batch.  Good luck, casings are a lot of fun and exciting, especially when things go your way!
