It's not the by-products. It's the explosive flammability of propane. Propane is heavier than air, and sinks to the ground. If you had a leak in your equipment, and a spark ignited somewhere, you'd have an explosion on your hands.

what the matter w/ propane (byproducts?)
tmc has pics
paul stamets uses it
fiqured it was better than an alcohol lamp

ya , i am aware that it is flammable that why i want it
lab grade bunson burner like FP sells

wanted to hook it up right that's why i asked
you can smell propane

does nobody else use it?
how are you supposed to hook up ones from Fungi Perfecti?
obviously it is useful otherwise he wouldn't sell them or write about them in his books

i found a valve that will work for camping stoves... made to connect to a tube to stove.. I think it'll work

btw of corse i'll test it and use it outside at first I'm not an idiot, at least I hope so
