do people like to have their egos poked at?
    #3033768 - 08/21/04 08:26 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

doesn't it seem that people jsut love to have drama? that people just love to to have that self righteous anger?

wouldn't it be a lot healthier for us to not get angry, or when we do get angry, look at ourselves to see what might be up?

what other ways could we actively help better ourselves?

and what about those who like to prick at others egos? what can we learn from them, and what can they learn about themselves?

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.---senior doobie

I have to admit, I do like a little drama. Nothing serious and nothing that personally affects other's emotions. I guess that's the selfish me coming out. I also like the small amount of attention that comes along with it. Alot of people call me an attention whore, but I wouldn't take it that far.
of course I like some attention, but I don't crave it or need it.

NM I'm going off the subject.

I never intetionally try to hurt others. I do poke at other's egos, but only to make them feel good. I like to help build confidence, make people smile. That usually makes me smile.

Drama and anger is healthy for us in limited amounts. It stimulates us as all emotions do. It is a part of the wonder of our construction. To be obsessed with these emotions is devatatingly damaging to us. The full range of human experience (especially fear and love) is a healthy part of our emotional pallete.

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

I agree with strumpling on this one. Its better to satisfy your immediate emotional demands, especialy if your ego is as big as mine. Oh and kaiowas stop being so constructive, kthxbye.

Hehehe Kaiowas is breaking the "non constructive drama " rule! Hehehheheh!

Well i believe that a bit of drama is always welcome and can rejuvenate some threads. It can heighten emotions and make  peopel more participating...

Moderation is the key...If drama gets of hand ,well we all know what happens! If there is no drama at all ,the threads tend to go emotionally dead. And spirituality is about a hefty dose of healthy emotions...

We arent robots,my ego is the same as the next persons.Getting it poked sometimes is ok
