I'm glad you answered this question because i have the same issues. But ya gotta admit the white fuzz tastes great...hhhmmmmmm white fuzz............Actually once it dries out you can't tell the diference, since i make it into a powder everything gets mixed up.......i think i need a humidifier.

Relax, Relax, Relax.....it's just a little pin prick * there'll be no more AARRGGHHH!!!! but you may feel a little sick.....

I do use perlite humidification and my hydrometer reads 93%...that is why I can't believe that my humidity is too low.

depending on the quality of your hygrometer, your results will vary...

I bought a hygrometer from target for $20... it totally sucked, as soon as i put it in my terranium, it kept on getting damp and shorting out... i returned that to target

I went to Radio Shack, and for $30 , they have this pretty nice Thermo-Hygro ... it's a "weather-proof" thermometer/hygrometer that seems to work pretty well. Right now it's telling me that my temperature is 80.9F and the Humidity is at 97% ...

During most of today, it was at 96%... however at night it went up to 97%

The item number at Radio Shack for the Hygrometer is 63-1031

This one is perfect... like i said, its even weather proof, and will tell you when the are is "WET" by showing you a wet sign.... ill take a pic of it one of these days

96-97% is too much for cakes? I thought cakes worked best between 95 and 98 rh?
