aint it cool how the more experienced you get at your instrument the doors open up for others..
I have a strange patient optimiscm about my future with the piano.
at first I was stumped by it, then I figured out the Em scale and could make some sense out of it ..love the octaves.

then ~magic~

some dude said seperate three fingers a space between.
your basic chord
I should have put that toghethere myself ..but hindsight is 20/20

now I really dig the two hands thing ..up to ten notes!

The first thing I played I recorded..I just kept time with chord to chord with subtle variation on my left(ocassionally switching) and on my right played some leads

I have a piano
and a organ by chance

now I really want a electric piano!  the possibilities with a MIDI
!!

sax
--flute
-guitar
--bass
-percussion(wayyyyy cooll)
--whats next..banjo?

I have been wanting to open up my (heavily rock influenced) world to something electronic.. I was thinking drum machine, but now..Electric Piano! Electric piano!

but the prices are a little high..

any electronic musicians have any reccomendations?

yes. A MIDI Capable keyboard (I've got a Roland Juno106 and a MicroKorg) and get some good Software.

VST's, Fruity Loops or Cubase, Reason....

= Infinite sounds and possibilities.

btw, piano is basically music theory laid out in an instrument... It's simply amazing

yeah, i started playing drums, then i picked up mallet instruments, after that i can improv stuff on the piano pretty easy, because they are both keyboard layouts, then i tried guitar and that come relativly easy as well

i recomend if your gonna spend money on keyboards and what not, to go to guitar center and just jam for a hour or two on every thing they got, then try to find it cheaper somewhere else.
