They could be Sulfer Shelf (Leatiporus sulfureus) but I think they are something else...possibly edible?
a. Habitat : Washington State forest...altitude 1000 feet. Growing on the side of a fallen tree. Not sure of the tree species.
b. Characteristics of the gills : No Gills
c. Measurements of cap and stem: See photos
d. Characteristics of the stem: Thick
e. Characteristics of the cap: Texture = moderately thick
. Spore print color (very important!) : don't know
g. Color that the mushroom bruises : none
h. Scent of mushroom : smells like a pumpkin
