i turn my heating pad on and off all day.....living in socal where energy costs are soaring and we are having rolling blackouts i turn it on for just long enough for the jars to be warm to the touch and then turn it off. I do it maybe 2 times a day sometimes 3. I haven't had any problems except my growth is slower more towards the 3 week mark then the 10 day.

I had the same question about a month ago. I was told that the fluxuation in temp would cause condenstation to occure, robbing the cakes of moisture and causing water dropplet related problems... the moisture loss part doesn't make sense to me tho. A day or two later I had 27/7 heating worked out anyway so I can only tell you what I was told.

I live in centcal and I've left it on for a month straight. Hmm, I wonder what the power bill will be this month...
