no smell ,no black. bluish green stem though???it smells very normal.fan dried first 24hrs. then alternating between damprid and fan

A rotten shroom will be soggy,black,slimy and all toghter not very pleasent looking.

Shrooms do not have ROOTS
not like a plant
they are firmly attached to the myc.

The person who made the post obviously made a typo and meant "rotting" not "rooting" shrooms. I was just making a joke about it. :what:

The bluish green color is more than likely from bruising. Fresh ones usually rot a dark black color, sometimes brown.
