That's all right, I appreciate the response. I've done a bit more reading and I think periculite may be a better choice for my bottom layer. I'm just gonna get the biggest terrarium space allows and fill it with casing trays of various sizes and see what works well. Yay for shrooms :)

you are mixing the 2 words together.
(Perlite+Vermiculite=Periculite?)
so what are you going to use as the bottom casing layer,
Perlite or Vermiculite?

how much space do you have???? you can use all of it!... everything sounds good ... exept someone puts the perilite aas the bottom of his casings ... someone cases inside tupperware containers and grows inside drawers and other non terrarium like places.... the tupperware seems to be an all in one :smile:peace and good luck

This guy just uses a tupperware container with enough headroom for his babies, cases right in it, and mists what, 3 times a day? Sounds like it could be good.
