I too have had problems with ecuador pinning. AFOAF had one PF style cake (not cased) that produced only one shroom total. Should he expect more pins/shrooms from an uncased cake or does he really need to case ecuadors. I should note that he birthed the cake rather early and did not allow in vitro primordia formation. Perhaps this was his problem. In any event next time he tries to grow ecuadors I'll suggest that he case it.

Ecuadors will grow fine on cakes w/o invitro primordiation, just case the cake top and bottom. Cases will increase flush.

is it ok to case them and just leave them in the terrainium or shouldI throw them back into the incubator of a while?
