I don't have a favorite but the other night i was having some delicious sandwichs.
Left over roast beef, wrapped in proscutto(sp?) I sliced it up thin, threw it in the frying pan. Poured abit of the left over gravy on it. Let that all get warm and cook abit. Then I added some Imperial xtra old cheese. mmm had fresh still warm bread, i'm getting hungry thinking about it.

I don't know if any of you guy's have heard of Farmer Sausage, it is basicaly the bacon(stomach) made into sausage incased in the small intestine of a pig. That makes one of the best BBQ sandwiches around. Just the sausage inbetween two buns and lots of BBQ sauce and mustard! this is as mennonite as you can get!

I agree with the grilled PB&J....also try it in a tortilla. it's pretty good. maybe even better.
Peanuite butter and banana is also good with a tall glass of milk of course.

when i'm in a hurry or just too hungry to care, i just slap a piece of lunch meat between some bread. i don't really like it like that, but it cures the hunger. usually, i'll spread some mayo on there REAL thin...i don't like alot of mayonnaisem and possible put some sliced cheese in there. when i have the ingredients, it's nice to get real fancy. those are usually the best.
i've never had a grilled pb & j, but that reminds me of grilled cheese, which i love. the best is if you get some fresh parmasean cheese, slice it thin, and put a little of this garlic butter i make that has capers in it. it's a real flavorful addition to alot of things, especially for a quick sautee of something. but a regular grilled cheese is good too.
subway is one of my favorite fast foods. i like to get everything on it except the little pepperoncinis (whatever you call them..pickled yellow peppers).

I don't have a favourite but here's a repost of a concoction I invented a while back.. DELICIOUS!
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...ev=#Post2831564
Ingredients:
Humus (lemon & garlics the best) Smokey Bacon Tomatoes (I like thickly sliced beefsteak tomatoes) Good quality wholegrain bread
1. Grill or fry the bacon until crispy 2. Spread the humus onto toasted wholegrain bread 3. Add the crispy bacon and freshly sliced tomatoes 4. Enjoy!

Oh yeah, nearly forgot.
Sliced medium rare steak with fried onions and mushrooms crammed into a french baguette with plenty of ground black pepper and creamed horseradish or whole grain mustard!
I'm salivating now just thinking of that..

Oh!! Okay...well, I usually make mine with organic PB, boysenberry jelly, and locarb wheat bread, but I'll tell you the normal way.
Take a frying pan, melt some butter in it. Take two pieces of white bread, spread margarine or butter on one side of each piece. Then spread PB on one slice, and jelly on the other. Then put the two pieces together and into the frying pan they go! Cook for about 1 minute on medium heat, and if it's golden brown on one side, turn the other side over until it gets the same color. MmMM!

sounds good, I make a good fried eggplant sandwhich, it's pretty simple:
bread some eggplant slices fry untill golden brown heat up the pasta sauce of your choice (or you can use chopped tomatos, be creative)
lots of cheese (provalone, mozzerella)
mmmm

The easiest way is to make a pb&j to start. Butter one side and put it in the pan and butter the top piece as it is cooking. If you spread the butter on first it will be hard to spread the pb or j on the other side.

Oh yeah, and also the world famous Reuben.. Saurkraut Pastrami (other people use different meats, my dad always used pastrami so that's what I use) Swiss cheese (sliced) Thousand Island dressing All on rye bread, and fried in butter (the sandwich, that is). Totally awesome.
