What houses what? spirit and body
    #3023142 - 08/19/04 01:43 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

I caught that I wrote "spirit emobodied in human form", in another post. Thats not how I know it to be and want to give you something fun to play with. Picture that your spirit body comes out at least 4 feet from your physical body all around and that your spirit body actually houses the physical one, not the other way around as commonly thought.

When you do this, suddenly, you get a greater sense of having control over the body and not the body controlling spirit. Something fun to play with- another percpetion shift.

I don't know, but suspect that a spirit, or soul, is not contained, but rather is a shared part of everything. In other words, your soul and my soul co-exist with everything else that exists.

Exactly! visualising your soul self to be housing the body and the spirit self to be housing all souls gives a picture to work with.

That is a sort of fun way to play with that area of perception, and just thaught about incorperating that little snippit of a thaught into my meditation routine.

Also, maybe we should not try to figure out what imbodies what too much. The time it takes to try and figure that out could be used for living the spirit. No?

Thats actually a pretty good way of looking at it. It's already been establised in many forms of Buddhism, and works pretty well with most other perceptions too. Thanks for sharing that!
