fear is one way to control people.

the other thing is for money.  cops are the govts gang...and what's worse is we accept them, and even pay them :lol:

the drug war is about control of people & profits.  it's quite insane, but it is also very calculated.

I think at the heart of the drug law, it's about either racist fear (in the origins of the opium, marijuana and cocaine prohibtion), limiting cognitive thought (LSD, marijuana & mushrooms), or profit (such as tobacco & alcohol companies sponsering the Partnership for a Drug-Free America).

Then you have the guilable idiots who buy into the idea that it's always going to be a negative and destructive thing, and the sign of a lack of moral charector. It's what keeps the drug war going, people believing that zero tolerance is the only option because any tolerance is what leads to drug use. Besides, if you actually believe all the negative things which they over-emphasis, then it really would seem that drugs are evil and bad.

But of course, for those of us who can actually read, we know better.  :loveeyes: :stoned: :stonedjerk:

I really do think LSD, marijuana, and mushrooms are illegal because of the counter-culture freedom of thought they can produce. Actually, they're illegal cause of the politicans who fear those things *COUGHNIXON*

the way i see it is that the drug war issue, when closely examined, gets to the heart of what is wrong with our current system of ruling power.

above money, our consciousness is THE commodity in the capitalist game. therefore it must be controlled in certain ways to sustain the doomed system.

so who is behind it?

i think what we've seen is an agenda carefully planned by individuals who knew full well what they were doing. the implementation of the drug war was then seen through by legions of ignorant underlings who were brainwashed by propaganda merely following orders from on high.

CIA's running the show with the hard drugs anyhow... makin drugs illegal doesn't do much to impact supply, but it sure jacks prices up.

Illegal = profitable.
