It was totaly worth being there.even with all the shit i went thru. it was a real emotional time and im not one of those that complain about what they play or set high expectations.i jUST took in every note they played and enjoyed evrey second of it.except for trey fucking up a few times.and i didnt mind him being fucked up who knows if he had been able to play without being so high.Coventry for me was more like being there for them(phish) and sharing that experience with everyone.it was just a great but emotional time i saw one kid there spun out of his mind crying after they all got there turns to say something lots of people hugging ect.oh yea they had big screens set up they where showing the same feed they showed in the theatre.but i got pretty close anyway

i really wish icoulda been there. Even though i don't like it when trey is just really fucked up when he's playing, i don't care if hes fucked up, but when hes really fucked up it can really take away from him, in my opinion. But like you said you took it note for note and appreciated it for what it was, that's what i would have done. There are too many whiners about them not playing fluffhead, sure it woulda been cool, but they can't play every song that they used to, and you go to see them to see them play what they want and jam how they do, and this is how they play now...or did. But i really wish i coulda been there. I'm sure the shows were really cool and some really good jams, but i would have also really liked to experience the emotion there.

I made another post about my own Coventry experience, too lazy to insert link here.
-------------------- Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake. -Erik Davis
