perhaps scientists have put there finger on the cause of the drought in the western states, or if they have they refuse to inform the public... so i will. the rocky mountains area and pacific nw is setting on top of a very large and very active magma chamber which is only scantily under the earths crust... this causes the ground to become heated up to the extent that it will disrupt weather patterns in the area, forming the illusion of a drought... when in actuallity, this magma chamber is building heat and pressure, so as to blow. just take a look at yellowstone and follow the activities of all the earthquakes and volcanoes located in the vicinity of this magma chamber... watch... peace.

This was something about Yellowstone I read a few months ago. Like stated earlier, an eruption of the predicted magnitude could cause a catastrophy on planet Earth, or at least in the United States.

Awe was perhaps the first thing on everyone's mind. The question adjoining it immediately thereafter was "When?" I'm not sure whether my memory fails me or if it is hype, or maybe even the dreadful truth, but the eruption may be due in the next 100 years or so.

The eruption is actually (according to the best guestimates)

Over due by about 10-15,00 years....
And significant activitiy has been noted at the site...
for instance, there have been multiple richter 2 n 3 earthquakes over here in the michigan/indiana region....
Thought to be linked to the Yellowstone magma chamber.

A decent west coast eath shaker could set it off....and a full explosion would be an extinction level eving.

Uki: Evidence for it to happen sooner? I'd love to see it.
