I don't know what the hell the problem is MJ? I'll try and find out for you though. I had to go to spiritplants and copy your image, then upload it to the shroomery's sever and the attach it to my post.HTML used to work for images, but now it appears that html no longer enabled?

ahha, I figured that shit out! LK the trouble shooter :) Yoiu have to use the [] brackets, but instead of using the usual "img", you actually have to write out "image"the url "/imgae" and enclose it with these [].

Well as usual I was not looking for those mushrooms posted above. I accidently found them on my own. What is neat though is that I forgot my camera but my scanner seems to do a real good job of scanning the shrooms.

Of course there were about 8 ounces where I found these ones.

Have a shroomy day, mj.

Now Lizard King,

I posted those like others have posted. I looked at the source on a few pages and they used those liitle <><. like that.

I'll try again later.

I am working on posting 1500 Psilocybe cyanescens images into my ID guide at my site.

mj

Have a shroomy day and may all of your days be shroomy.

Great pic MJ. I agree with Lizard King, I'm extremely jealous.
You seem to have a natural knack for finding the magic, especially the stuntzii's and baeo's.

As far as Lizard King and GGreatOne getting together, just the thought of it will make mushrooms tremble with fear in the Gainesville area. I hope ya'll do it. You should look for the mammilata's (spelling may be wrong) while you are out hunting. Two sets of eyes are lots better than one.

Yeah, I'll be headed that way in about 3-4 weeks or so GG. Or as soon as you tell me the cubes are fruiting :)

I usually just grab a campsite at Paynes Prarie, so it will be easy to meet up if you get the chance. I'll let you know when I plan to make the trip.

I may swing by wizards to and see what hes up to. Just gotta find his new place, haven't been there yet.

MJ, I'm not sure what to tell you, I can't get the <> html code to work either. Just use <image and it will work just fine.

Wow, I just love Robert Service.

Thought that i poosted this before and it disappeared.

Anyway my favorite one is abotu the three bears. Service wrote about every sunday morning grandpa would go to the outhouse to smoke his favorite pipe and read the sunday funnies, except on this morning papa forgot he ate beans and grandma had just poured the benzene down the latrine adn it blew grandpa to smitheines.

I have been looking for a copy of that Robert Service poem for years.

And then there was the Shooting of Dan MaGraw.

However Kipling is my favorate poet of all.

I remember my first Elephant ride in northern Thailand and I thought, Teddy Roosevelt, Rudyard Kipling and now me.

Of course I love Rikki Tikki Tavi and Kim was my favorate kipling story and Gunga Din and mandalay and the Barrack Room Ballads were my favorate poems by him.

Well what does that have to do with shroom hunting.

Who knows. I just felt like saying it becasue Mitchnast posted Robert Service.

Have a shroomy day. I did.

This is just for Mitchnast though, I called up Social Security, and if you're insane in the United States or crippled, I'm Paranoid Chronic, I can't be around people much and hear voices, then you get even more money when you're homeless, you can be on the street in LA or you can get into a Motel, and you don't have to get any therapy or take any medications. I called them up and asked them, can you believe that?? I don't know about Canada, anyhow, I was thinking of being homeless again. OYOYOYOY

R.e.: Posting Images

The square brackets are Markup which is dynamicly converted to HTML when you post, thus looking at the source will only show you the already converted HTML. You will also see that if you post using the [imge]URL[/imge] method that if you go back and edit your post you will be editing the converted HTML code (i.e. <img src=...> )

Mitchnast, your crazy. I promise I didn't edit your post, if I did it would say edited by Lizard King. "IMG" doesn't work anyways, you have to spell it out "image", so changing brakets wouldn't have mattered...Dork :)

i did the proper code. and i had the picture loaded up, i verified it by checking and it only marks it as edited if you choose to have it that way. you know that. liar!

you see i knew i had to spel lout image and i did so. here i come on to find the code i typed out and tested (and verified the funcionality of) stolen and replaced by the erroneus code you used in your post before mine initially. im SOOO sure you're being honest. youre a turd and you know it. you're sitting back tittering with glee!

Lookman, you were persisting tp accuse me of abusing my power, and I didn't take it lightly, especially since you kept dragging it on.

Now lets stop and look at who was the first to name call in this thread. All I did was give you a dose of your own treatment, and you automatically came back with a "fuck you".

I can assure you that no one screwed with your post. You thought you posted one way, when in fact you never did, but your sure that you didn't because you can't remember making the mistake in the first place.

I don't have the power to edit without you knowing, and I don't have the power to find out who did. And if I did, I wouldn't look into it, because its obvious that no one touched your post.

i posted inorrectly once, then i edited it and fixed it so that the image showed. i obviously did this because if i hadnt i wouldnt have said anything i remember very clearly doing so.
i do remember making the mistake. i remember exactly what i did. first i tried it with just "IMG" and "IMG" in "[]" these brackets. it diddnt work, so i edited the post and spelled out "image" and what do you know? it worked. then i came on the next day and say that someone had changed my post to the "<img src" code, which i haddnt even used because i already knew it wouldnt work, that was evidant as it had already been tried repediately. you see i remember exactly what happened. it wasnt that big a deal. i thought you were playin a little trick on me as yours was the post that the pic worked in and suddenly mine was back to the old hypertext code which i (and this is important) had NOT tried to use in that post. the fact that i haddnt used it prooves (to me anyway) that someone else messed around with my post. if it was going to revert to my previous attempt, it would have shown "" instead of the <img src="imagefile"> tag it shows now.

thats all

hmm, it happened again in another part of the forum. i think perhaps it is sometimes changed automatically. one minute its all set up right, the next its done up in hypertext tag and doesnt work. yes i know, maybe you were justified to call me crazy. but this is really happening. and i think i was justified to suspect you as your post was fixed at about the same time mine was changed. sorry for the bad blood. nobody here is crazy. :) well, i am, but not like that. :)
maybe its just when i post, or maybe it happens to me more than others because i post alot of pics. but i know you arent frigging with it. sorry for the accusation, but from my POV the evidance added up to you, and im very tenacious with my theories. (did i just define the root of delusion or what?)
i really dont consider im wrong untill i find evidance to show otherwise, thats how i solve lifes little puzzles.
anyway, sorry again for the mix-up. i wasnt mad till you called me a psycho goddamn fruitcake. psycho i understand, and its probably obvious im outside of gods holy favor. but fruitcake? RAGE!

I've been reading y'all for days! I'm glad you're at peace, if my opinion matters. Throughout the year I've been scoping this place for information. Lizard King and Mitchnast are two of the most informative faces on this site. You've both been here for a good while and have seen each others' posts and have responded in glee. Why would you post a public debate, especially bombarding MJ's first Psilocybe Stuntzii pic of the spring 2001 season?
And if MJ's reading this, yes, I capitalized Stuntzii. It's Daniel's last name's reverence, isn't it? That's about the only beef I got! Well, except Psilocybe "W"eilli! Minor bitching, but bitching as well. Ha!
Stay cool and remain as peaceful, mycological individuals in harmony with the CPU as well as the universe!-Levi7.

You know, I went back over and read this whole thread, and I have to say, it was me who lashed out and got serious about this whole stupid thing, and to a guy as cool as mithnast whom I've always respected nonetheless. I really am sorry, I don't want you to hate me mitch, lord knows I have enough enemies.

Changing the subject, I can't wait to see some more subbs this year, mitch! When do they usually come in season? I'd like to see some good habitat pics this year :)

In my opinion, considering Andrew Weil's name is accredited to the species, Psilocybe Weilii. The same for Psilocybe Stuntzii, accredited to Psilocybe Stuntzii. I believe we should capitalize the species regarding the reverence to great mycologists. They were hard-working individuals! Let's say a new mushroom species was credited to John Allen and it's name was Psilocbe Allenii. We should definitely capitalize the species name in regards to the names of the accredited individuals. I know John has named species in his life, but he named them disregarding his last name. That's cool, but otherwise, we should capitalize. That's just my opinion, if it counts. Stay cool, Lizard King!-Levi7.

It never really had anything to do with the subjects at hand. I've been meaning to mention it for awhile, though. I really enjoy pics of Pan subbs as well as the Weilii. You know, when I find a patch of Stuntziis, they never look as pretty as some of the pictures you people post. The cyans are pretty cool, though! It sucks that they only grow in one season.
Also, I got a digital camera for Christmas and have taken a few mushroom photos(only 640x480). Can someone tell me the process of getting them from my folder to this site? Thanks! Stay cool!-Levi7.

Actually I do have a mushroomer which bares my name and I named it after discovering it for where I discovered it at.

Psilocybe samuiensis Guzm?n, Bandala and Allen.

And I was wondering why all that arguing was going on in a mushroom hunting forum, but who anm I too complain.

In fact I am not sure if I posted these already. Here is a little bluing in P{silocybe stuntzii.

well Mj, it seems this BB is posesed by gremlins. theyre running around changing stuff and making things tense.
how do you get rid of gremlins? elves i can handle. aileans are trendy and marketable. but gremlins? thats so 80s!
anyway. to make this post al leat half on-topic. those mushrooms look mighty good. id call that pile a fairly decent trip boardering on the brink of insanity. and you can even eat them with a cracker and have enough change for 5 gummi bears. what do you do when you find a pick like this? my ass personally calls up some shroomers and has an epic day.
(i now refer to myself as "my ass")
when they get here i sit around with them showing off the harvest and teach them about bluing, sporeprints, translucent pellicules, etc. then we eat them and learn a great deal of respect for knowlage and the mind.
then we DANCE YEE HAW!

i can tell you picked those in clusters :) got those sporeprints on the caps. nothing pleases me quite like a cluster of psilocybe semilanceata, normally they are quite gregarious.
ive once grazed on them, as would a cow. then i mooed.
keep up the good pickin. ive yet to get tired of hunting pics. am starting to get tired of cultivation shots :)

always wear a condom

the northern lights have seen queer sites
but the queerest they ever did see
was the night at the marge of lake lebarge
i cremated sam mcgee.

Are you calling me a Gremlin? A Gremlin I am not! I'm not even an elf! If I were, I could sit upon those huge mushrooms you collect. And when you consumed them, without noticing me, I would really irritate your stomach until you barfed me up, losing your holy find! Gremlins are baaaaaad! I am gooooood!
Actually, elves aren't that small. But I'm not a faery, either!
Anyway, Stay cool!-Levi7.
