i guess the one thing i haven't done is restarted misting. when do you stop the misting? when the right??? i always get great first flushes, but no 2nds. i just did as you suggested on a verm casing today. i'll see how it goes.

Yeah, sounds like it dried out. Stop misting as soon as pins appear.
