Well like I said yesterday the old bitch mowed teh ol' cahntrelle patch but I went to teh good doctors field across teh way and into the oak woods for a few minutes just to see what was up and found two chantelles (which as you can see I crushed when I fell over a log), and the cinnabar red chantrelles (there will be a hundred when the rains hit today) and I don''t know what teh larger ones are- I think that they are a gomphus but I really didn't have time to investigate the matter- I don't plan on eating those two anyway.  Not very exciting, but there you have it- will post more when the rains come.  Just a nice day is all.  Hope everybody here has the same! I'm going to go eat my last hit of  blotter so  everybody- it's time to watch the clouds roll by...

They all look like chanterelles to me, but that picture is seriously lacking in detail...

Heh heh, you fell over a log :smirk:

I've seen tiny red shrooms like that before...Are they unique or are there plenty that fit that general discription? I didn't even take a second look since I'm pretty sure most pure yellow/red mushrooms are pretty bad(minus amanitas?).

Hey Superbling,

Those big ones look like ageing chanterelles to me too. I found some like that today, edges starting dry up and fall off. They might still be good to eat.

I hope you had a nice flight.

Thanks.  I would have posted yesterday but I the shroomery kept comming up as not being able to be found.  I did have a nice flight BTW!!!  The big ones looked a bit odd to me.  Leablas: the red chantrelles are easy to identify and I know oof nothing that looks terribly like one.  They (the red) had very little taste imho.  I found about thirty today and if I get the chance I'll post (bettter) pics on this post.  They are MUCH bigger.  I'm going all out hardcore for the gyms.  Might not even be back till I find one- better pack the elephant gun... but seriously though- I wonder if the subbs are fruiting again at my spot???  We just got some residual (heavy as hell I mean by that) rain from the huricane Codfish or whatever and everything is covered with mushrooms.  I want my digi-cam! :bored:.
