I was just wondering if anyone could help me ID these. I'm not particularly interested in eating them, I'm just curious as to what they are. There's always a decent amount of them growing in my yard (SE Georgia)The dark specks on the cap are just debri from my yard. The oatmeal wart looking things are part of the mushroom though. I have 2 small kids and a dog that eats almost anything he finds, so knowing if they're dangerous or not would be great. Thanks for any help!

They're Amanitas, but the species will be quite a bit tougher.

If possible, find some young ones and show us what they look like just after the universal veil breaks. They should be small buttons at that point. Wht we need to see is if there is a partial veil covering the gills at any point.

What kind of trees were they growing near?

Happy mushrooming!

They were near pine trees. If I manage to catch some small ones, I'll post them.
