Mock, get over this one. You need to read a find out. It is all a matter of opinion anyway You are going to start a Flaming war here. Each person will have a different opinion on what is the ABSOLUTE fastest, so why ask? Go to the spore venders take their advice. There are no doubt several that will suit your needs! Many say that Cams are fastest, some say Thais, the list goes on. Just getcha one and try it out. I am sure you are NOT going to see HUGE differences in strain speeds grown under the EXACT same conditions. The ARE after all the SAME SPECIES. My limited opinion says Cams are fast as hell. I am not sayin there are the fastest but you can't go wrong. PESAs appear to be a fast colonizer TO ME. Perhaps not to the next guy (or gal. Sorry, Bluhoney and Karen). LET THIS CAN OF WORMS DIE and QUIT takin' it back to the top of page. PEACE...Rhino

Well, I will offer up my current observations on this one since this is the most different strains I've ever had going at once..
Fastest(that I have colonizing)=PES H
2nd=B+
3rd=PFs
4th=Cambodians
5th=Treasures
But like was said above..it just depends on which spores decided to germinate and the general health of the strains that were thrown from the past generations...some say Cams are fast colonizers, but I haven't seen that yet(but maybe they are, who knows?). +/- a week..are you that impatient?

Yo hatter you have PF's?? How are they going, I have made myself 2 jars of PF's and I was told they had much aborts?
What is your opinion on the PF classic??

so far so good...Though they are good cake cubies, I would recommend a casing tek followed religiously(esp. misting and fanning)(Because of abhorts, it seems alot easier to keep up maintenance...).
PF love to grow in clusters..about half in the cluster usually abhort. The first flush is usually crappy, but the consecutive flushes are actually quite nice(much fewer abhorts in my experience, too).

I'm about to use casings, wouldn't do any different. My personal shroomgrow teacher teached me how to make casings, I have never used cakes nor will I ever do!
So mising and fanning is required?
I never use fanning, I only put the foil off and on again on the terrarium one time a day, for fresh air.
I will send you some of my reports when having pins and actual shrooms, gotta get myself some digital cam!

For what it's woth:
My friend just did mexi-cubs. I can't comment on innoc - harvest as I haven't talked to him in a week but last I checked 4 days after innoc most jars were around 30% colonization. I really can't say if thats fast but it's what he observed.

if you do a strain isolation you could get colonization in 7 days tops.
My Thailand K.S does a 1/2 pint BFR jar in 7 days flat, ready for birth and casing :)
