1st Flush Failed - Need Advice to Repair
    #2995106 - 08/12/04 10:26 AM (19 years, 6 months ago)

This is a bulk grow. The 1st flush is a failure due to lack of air exchange during pinning. Now I am left with a casing surface filled with tiny underdeveloped mushies. The surface may have a bit of an overlay problem as well. What steps should I take at this point to repair the casing for a new flush?

Pick off all mushies and all the pins you can scrap with a clean fork any overlayed areas and lighty case 3/8-1/2in. then mist it down several times over the course of the day bringing the casing to "near saturation". All the while keeping it covered to allow co2 to build up, no light, and if ya want throw it into the incubator for a couple 3 days then initiate pinning once again, some peeps say this and that about pinning triggers and inadvertently they may not even realize they've deployed certain triggers but reguardless they can help a stubborn casing flush like crazy where before there was nothing but either overlay or aborts so IME and IMHO does help GL
P.S. just woke up so the heads still a bit fuzzy :frown: sorry

PR's often need to be initiated sooner as well as any super myc strains. I've had strains that needed to be initiated before any myc was even visible on the surface this was the only way I could get it to produce decent.
