What happens if too much water got into my non innoculate  pf tek verm/brf jar? its not THAT bad and i know mushrooms like water so maybe my substrate is not destroyed? i dont want to have to redo the jars do you think i will have to?

i know it looks like myc growing in jar buts thats just the wetness of the subtrate  :smirk:

exactly what is in that jar? it looks nothing like a PF jar that I have ever made? Are those big chunks of Verm?

And by the way, I hope you don't really think that looks like mikey growin in that jar. That looks nothing like mikey.

good luck

Usually in my foaf's experience, slightly too much water just slows things down a bit. Takes about a week longet to colonize. Way too much and the myc will get taken over by contams. Use your own judgement on this. If it were me though, I'd do them over...

Plus too much water makes em clumpy like that, so less air space for myc to colonize into. You could dump them out onto a tray and cook at low temps in the oven to re-dry the verm/BRF mix and then remix it with water (but obviously not too much this time) and then re-PC. But only to salvage the materials, so it's probably more sensible to just start over and toss the bad substrate.
