Spiderwebs are a part of life too, but that doesn't mean I like running into them with my face.

And unlike spiderwebs, politics is reliant upon people to believe in it for it to exist.

It's a "concept"

politics is part of the science of how human beings interact with eachother. more specifically, it has to do with how humans forcefully interract with eachother.

you can ignore the "concept" all you wish, but the tangible realities the field of politics is intended to illuminate will not go away. whether you or anyone else cares to study the meaning behind it, people will continue to engage in forceful interactions and the state will be there as a part of it all.

I think politics is like trying to stop the syptoms without curing the disease. People put such faith in superficial solutions, trying to fix the external world while leaving the internal one a mess. Without enlightenment politics is just the wheel of Samsara turning around, and around, and around...
