Homemade tater salad corn in husk on grill Good country meal

Go to your backyard, or my backyard or garden or store wherever you may find corn.

Pick a couple of winners.

Look at them, inspect for insect infestation or disease.

Give a smaller pickin to your bestest buddy in the whole world.

Fixins for the simplest potato salad...1 small onion diced finely, 2 celery stalks split and diced, 4 medium potatos quartered and diced, a few eggs and some mayo.

Boil eggs in shell and let cool in ice cold water while your potatos boil.  When taters are done rinse in cold water until cool.  Mix all the fixins in and mix up carefully as to not mash the potatos.  Cover and refridgerate until time to serve.

Your tater salad should look something like this.  I always make it simple so that everyone enjoys it and those who want to docter it up can, just so you don't ruin it for everyones taste buds.  I always add cheyenne pepper and one chopped halipino<sp> in my portion.

Soak the corn in the husk in some warm salt water for half and hour and place on the outer edges of your prestarted grill.

The corn husks will burn, but it won't hurt the inside as long as you turn them frequently.

Slap your steak on a plate and throw a pile of potato salad next to it and lather up your corn with butter and salt.

Now Thats Good Country Eatin

I used regular big brown idaho potatos.  I know alot of tater salad recipes call for those little red ones but I needed to use up the ones I had and it turned out just great

Grizzy can come over and eat a whole field full of em

How about finishing the corn out of the husk, let it cool, cut it off the cob & mix it into the potatoe salad?
