has anyone succesfully used an aquarium bubbler without the aid of geolite? for instance would if be possible to just run the hose into a cup of water that sits in your terrarium?

I was going to ask a similar question. What I wanted to know however, is how well do these provide air-exchange? I'm assuming since you would run them 24/7 they would work pretty good, but would you still need to fan and spray the fruiting chamber? I'm planning to use a bubbler in a cup of water in conjunction with a layer of perlite on the bottom of my chamber. Will this be too humid?

Yes jar bubblers have been around for years. They provide a lot of fresh air and in many cases do need to be supplimented with perlite and mistings. It's a balance between plenty of fresh air and RH that really makes for some awesome grows IMO.

Peroxide works OK, but IME a few drops of iodine works much better. Iodine doesn't break down like peroxide, so you don't need to worry about changing the water until it runs low.

Yes I agree to iodine works the best, and it works great for humans too a necessary element! We have to use it in the Homer2 fogging units 1-2 drops per gal. It's a good thing!

if the terrarium is a small space so the humidity is concentrated and your bubbler is powerful than yu wouldnt have to use geolit/perlite... i've done it with 94% humidity in a 8 by 15 styrofoam cooler... nice ..but not to wet

Iodine can be had at any pharmacy, it's a small bottle and goes along way  It "cleans" water, it won't sterilize your GB or coolers those will need a bleach/h2o spray to be most effective and lysol spray works good for "scrubbing" the air of contams, IMHO thats all it should be used for!  Use bleach spray for disinfecting surfaces.
