puscle- I'm pretty sure panaleous species don't grow very abundantly in VT... maybe subbs, but those aren't very potent... thanks for the info NuShroom and Anno. I am not sure if the temps are right for growing cubensis here, but I will give it a shot... would copelandias do better with temps around 65-75? I guess I could just wait till it gets hotter

Vermont temps are fine in the summertime, at least.

Possible uses for all that dung:

-collect dry composted dung and use as substrate for indoor cultivation.

-attempt to innoculate in the field as is with some sort of liquid mycelium solution

-dig large outdoor beds, maybe 3 by 3, 6 inches deep, and fill with massive amounts of colonized spawn (grain? pests?) and dung, and bury and keep humid with leaves or grasses, etc.

I would go for the last one...lay the beds in about a month; that will give you time to generate spawn, and should be good in terms of temps.

Do beds of a bunch of differnet kinds...do some cubes of various strains, do some pan. cyan and for gods sakes, try some azures...make sure to do them with hardwood chips too.
