Anway this month im canoeing/backpackign the gulf islands and the charolettes. next spring im kayaking and backpacking for a few months in the great bear rainforest. still building the kayak but i already cant sleep. cant wait.

whats everyones favorite hikes? I have to say one of my favorites was troy oregon (just bellow clarckston WA), fuckign dope place!

I do but don't have any places to do it around here. The best I can do is day pack. I think I'm going to go do one here shortly, my river is so low I can follow it on foot for miles... Come to think of it I could back pack the old 4 wheeler trails that follow the river. Time to get out and do stuff I start my job here shortly.

That's awesome you are building your own kayak! Wow.  I dream of doing a multi day sea kayaking trip in Alaska or Canada....or the Fuji islands! I got to go Sea Kayaking in Hawaii which was pretty awesome but it was a short trip.

I've done a lot of backpacking in my life, but I've only been once this year.  My favorite place is the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming.  The Tetons are also incredible. Ive done some backpacking and a lot of camping and mountain biking and hiking in southern utah too. The image below is from Baptiste Creek in the Wind River mountains.  We did a 50+ mile loop there a couple years ago.

What I wouldn't give to frolic right through that picture on some light and fuzzy mushies, Phishgrrl! You seem like you'd be sooooo much fun in nature.

Well the mountains aren't QUITE that big, but they do have that same raw magesticity. (I made that word up, I think.)

I climbed the face of that one below. It's haystack peak in the Winds. I'm such a showoff.  I tried to load the pic of me finishing the climb, but I have reached my upload limit until tonight.

These are actually from Wyoming.  And yes, Utah is filled with religious fanatics, but also lots of cool people.  There are lots of cowboys in Wyoming.

You got a job? Cool! I know exactly how you feel about being lost. I have no fucking clue what I am supposed to do career wise. It sucks. I am just finishing up a nurse assistant training course but that job licks. At least it will get my foot in the door though, and get most of my real school paid for.

I got a real dorky pick of me snow shoeing my way to the summit of the tallest mountain in New York. But luckily I cant find it at this moment.

By the way I love back packing I think I am going to disapear for 5 days this september. Some place. Any one have any ideas? I am tired of the same old, I need some new scenery.
