I have 6 1/2 pint BRF/Verm jars incubating in a shoebox.Temp is steady at 81-82 degrees F.My AC isset at 79-80 degrees F.What do you think the RH in my Apartment is?I don't have access to a Therm/Hygrometer yet but plan on buying one in a week or two.Would it hurt to put a small cup of water in the shoebox with the jars?

you don't need to worry about the humidity while they are incubating inside jars.

I was only asking because the area I had the jars in was a very dry and warm area and because I read somewhere(FAQ section I believe) that the RH needs to be around 50-70%.

Yeah if its too low it could cause more to evaporate out of the jars but its not a real big deal, just so long as it's not super dry, which is what 50-70% would be if you assigned it numbers. You will probably be fine since humidity levels less than that are generally uncomfortable for humans anyhow (dry mouth, dry eyes, etc) so you'd know if it was real dry in your place even without hygrometer check. If you think it is too dry, then sure put in a small cup of water or a cup with some wet paper towels or perlite or something.
And as long as they have enough water to complete colonization then it's fine, you should replace the lost water with dunking or such just before dropping them in the fruiter anyway.
