I don't think that DXM works on the same receptors in the brain. You might just have a high tolerance to that sort of thing. The first time I did acid I felt the same way you described until I forced myself to trip. Just try concentrating on the body buzz and you could probably force the visuals to come stronger.

hmmm I dunno. My mom took two hits of cid once and her boyfriend took 2 as well. My mom didn't feel shit except some giggles and her boyfriend tripped like a motherfucker. I tripped off the same shit, too. It could have been the edges of the blotter paper, which usuaully contain less LSD than the center, depending on how they transfer it.

Also, a girl I worked with once ate half an eigth, and was tripping hard. About 2-3 weeks later, she ate a whole eigth of the same batch and it didn't do anything. She was explaining to me that the way mushies work is through an allergic reaction.

That sounds like total BS. Allergic reactions are a result of a massive release of histamin, which causes the usual effects (itching, running nose and eyes, etc). Allergic reactions don't cause hallucinations (well, I suppose anaphalactic shock could be accompanied by some hallucinations, but thats different).

Do you take any vitamins? What was your diet the day you took the acid and / or shrooms? I have read that certain vitamins will counter act LSD and I'm wondering if maybe the same is true for shrooms. I have read that the B vitamins especially are an antagonist for these drugs. Multi vitamins are especially loaded with B vitamins because they are not absorbed well by the body and many vices like drinking and smoking deplete these vitamins rapidly. Since the drug companies target the most common deficiency they load up on B6 & B12.
