I've eaten plenty o shrooms with all different contams around them......... why waste a good shroom. I never had a problem. (not reccommending you do it) Taz, how do you KNOW this?! That he's a goner if he eats it....... because the pf-tek says so? I have to disagree with you on this one. Just dont eat 'rotten' shrooms.

I've eaten shroom off a cake that had some green mold on it, and didn't get sick or die, but the shrooms were healthy. I might be more worried about an unidentified bacterial contam.

I've eaten mouldy shrooms without a problem. Like egoless said, if it's healthy enough to grow into a fully mature mushroom, then it's healthy enough to eat. I agree.

Some people have allergies to various contaminants, i.e. pennicilum. This could be a deadly combination. When I give someone cultivated shrooms, I always ask!!!!!

whats the worst that can happen if you smoke some rotten buds? take some street ghb? its all risk, you decide if you want to take it. worst scenario is that you could die. the best scenario is its a great trip w/o side effects. you want to eat them anyway :)

Jesus H. Christ on a rubber fucking shrooommm!!!! Do you people pay any attention to anything. Some contams are harmless. Some can be outright deadly! Trichoderma (forrest green mold) is not known to be pathogenic, but to say that since it isn't that contaminations are safe to eat is outright irresponsible! Here's the crux of it. The most common contams, including trich and cobweb are not known to be pathogenic. The most pathogenic contams are some the rarest to culture. But I've personally seen some of them culture accidentally on agar! Statistics will tell you not to take the fuckin chance if you can't ID a contam as safe! "There are old mycophagists, and there are bold mycophagists, but there are NO old, bold mycophagists!" words of wisdom to live by. I can't believe people would be as irresponsible as to express some of the opinions I've read..... -end rant
