Its an incredible release. My second linux distro and its great! It has to be the best new linux available, in a year, Dell and Gateway may be offering linux as an option looking at this release (congrats novell)

HP already does. but i have to disagree on it being the best distro while its good for a newbie that doesnt know much about linux its not good at all for experianced hardcore linux users that want the bleeding edge sources compiled on their own pc. i would suggest gentoo if you want a really good distro. its the best ive ever used and i bet i can make it do anything suse does. but not to discredit suse. i love novell and what they are doing with open source

I agree, if you know exactly what you are doing and can edit specific properties and RPMs then SuSE is by far not the best out there. The problem is not enough people will be willing to learn linux as a new comer as robust as if you started 5 years ago. There is too many conflicts and distro specific issues. SuSE also offers one of the best (if not THE best) support available, making it the forefront of mainstream linux desktop use today and in the future. If it is not the lead distro in the future, it is because another linux distro takes its example and improves on it.

I am semi new linux user, and SuSE has what I want to start and advance my linux use. If another distro can outdo SuSE, I will switch over to them.
