X-Prize Lowballer Blows Up
    #2983809 - 08/10/04 12:31 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

One of the groups competing for the X-Prize were planning on doing the missions on the cheap. Well, they exploded their rocket yesterday, w/ some human simulating dummies on board. (!!!)

It really blows my mind that private entities are doing stuff like this and I wish them the best of luck. I hope someday I can hop on a rocket and see earth from space....

Yes, it's nice to see private enterprise enter the space race. That means more innovation and new ideas. Having said that, I think the Rutan team has the best chance of winning the X-prize.
